I have enough money, I'm not rich but i'm happy with what i've got. I've got to work much and hard but i don't mind because i love what i do for a living. Last Januar we've bought a new house but we're not jalouse about the bigger houses of our friends or my sisters.

How about you ?

I ve read that a lady made her face tatooed for $ 10 000. the tatoo was : goldenpalace .com. It 's an advertisement for an on line casino !! she said it was very important to get those $10 000 to pay her son's school. she did fisrt a proposition on e-bay to rent her face : the casino accepted to pay.

Post Scriptum : hi Betuwe ! i m not rich and not jalous.. i m interested in money because it can lead to murder or help people to get married !! moreover, to be rich is a concept that can be far different between two countries, two periods of our history. It can be taboo or not ! To be rich is also a booster in the social scale, with a result different according to the culture. By the way, there s nothing worse for a poor to become rich and to understand then that all his dreams can collapsed because living wealthy is not living happily and healthy !

i think people can be happy with lots of money, but then again people can be unhappy with lots of money.

I think people can be unhappy when they have no money, but then again peoply can be happy when they have no money.

When happiness is a state of mind you don't need money for that.


But can you buy happiness with money ? i don't know.

it depends on what you mean by hapiness. For example: can someone buy love for money? yeah, anyone would have a lot of beautiful girls, but you'd never be sure why they're with you... because of you or because of your money Everyone wants to have lots of money, though. it's a normal thing, because no-one wants to be worrying about money matters.

I don't understand what all these russians are doing there!!! Why does Russia have so many rich people at the top of the list while their country is so poor and some people don't know where to get some money to not die of starvation!!! I am really indignant at this!

I thought russians were all rich ! The Cote d'azur palaces have big russian flag and hire a lot of russian speaking waiter.. the best and largest houses in Cap d'antibes or Cap ferrat have been bought by russians.. Cote d'azur and monaco was paradise for japeneses and americans ten years ago, for gulf persic checks years ago and since 2000 it was Eastern countries paradise, mostly russians !

Since we're talking about money, I'd like to share something with you.
My sister's just got married and moved to Norway to live with her husband. She's 22 and he's 24 years old. They've been married since February 24 only, but they've already managed to buy an apartment. They'll have 30 years to pay back a bank loan which has a 3,3% interest rate per year.
I'm 25 years old and if I wanted to buy an apartment a bank would lend me no more than 80% of said apartment's total value. I'd also have no more than 10 years to pay them back, at a 14,5% interest rate per year. Considering our economy is not among one of the healthiest ones around, that (the interest rate) is always subject to change according to inflation and etc.

How do these things work in your countries? Is it really difficult to buy a house/apartment there?

In our country young people can als buy an apartment or house and pay back in 30 years. rates are about 4%, depends on which contract you close. Some own money can help but it's also possible that parents agree to the bank that they assure the payback.

Citycounsils want builders to build houses for young starters and also for older people (with several services in the complex like a barber, docter and shop) and they stimulate this by allowing the builders to build also houses for the rich so at the end they can still make a profit.

But in bigger cities, with universities for example, there are often to little rooms for students.

But when you've won the lottery is easy to buy a dreamhouse (and a second one in Brazil)

Here in the posh cote d'azur as you said, real estates is a very good business. Prices rise each year, when scandinavians do not want a piece of sunshine for their retired years, russians need to invest abroad ( :-p Ivbel...).the 80 sqm flat i rent is about 300 000 euros ( handsome building with swimming pool near amenities!) . a 100 sqm house with a little garden is about 450 000 euros. banks do not care as before in how much i can pay cash with my saving. They are only interested in my ability to refund on a long term period ( good job, good company, no other loans, not too many children : two is a maximum for a good rate). I can get a 4.5 % rate / 25 years. it s highly likely i will not offer a comfortable house to my familly before years.

Money is important.
If you don’t have enough money to eat, it’s so sad.
I like happy medium.
Maybe I’m gonna post my opinion next time.
